Beach School at Lytham !
Despite the rain we had fun at Beach School. We found out lots about marine life near Lytham !

The Light House Keeper's Lunch

After reading about Mrs Grinling's "concoctions" we went to our garden and picked some rhubarb so we could make a crumble for Mr Grinling!

Our DT topic is all about puppets. We started to make finger puppets. Can you recognise any Billy Goats?

The Tiger Who Came to Tea

Oh no! The Tiger really did come to Tea after we had read Judith Kerr's wonderful book.

We made sandwiches for our own tea party - just in case he came back !

Mr Shirtcliffe came to visit Class 1 today.

We found out about hospitals today - 2016 - and hospitals 200 years ago.

It was very different for Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole!

World Book Day 2016

 

Year 1 had a wonderful world book day and as always, put a great deal of effort into their costumes. The children were fantastic at getting into the role of their book character throughout the day!
