Branch 3 - Galilee to Jerusalem
We are learning about the journey the Three Wise Men took to meet baby Jesus and the troubles they found on the way.
We have been listening to the Glory Be and thinking about the words used to celebrate Jesus.
This week we listened to the story of the Wise Men meeting King Herod. We decided that the Wise men made a good choice to go a different way home. We thought about the choices we make in school every day and then played a game of Good Choice, Bad Choice.
We learnt that the Three Wise Men were astronomers and their names were Casper, Melchior and Balthasar. We know that they brought some unusual presents for baby Jesus which were Gold Frankincense and Myrrh. We looked at how far the had to travel and realised it was a very long way.
