Physical Development

Today the children took part in a dance session with the South Ribble Development Team. It was so much fun! Thank you!

We have been practising our pre writing patterns. This week we have focused on circles and spirals.

Today we have been learning how to use tools such as knives to spread the butter on our bread. We tried a special type of bread called tiger bread and it was delicious!

We have been completing lots of fine motor activities to strengthen our finger muscles for writing. Some of these activities include threading, practising pre writing shapes and practising our pincer grasp using the peg boards. We also enjoyed our very first dough disco!

The children noticed the grass in the tyres had grown quite long over summer. They helped to trim it back ready for winter using scissors. This activity helps children to develop their fine motor skills.

Our first P.E lesson!
