When Reception Class found a hedgehog, we had a good look at him and thought of as many ‘hedgehog words’ as possible - spiky, prickly, ball, roll, nocturnal, brown, small, round… Can you think of any more?
We went for a listening walk around School and talked about the different sounds.

Blowing bubbles is good exercise for the developing muscles in the jaw and mouth.
We have been learning how to use all 5 senses (sight, smell, touch, hear, taste) to explore food and our own personal food preferences. This captures children’s curiosity and gives them the opportunity to discover new foods which they may not have tried before. We made our own bread rolls and ate them with some delicious carrot and coriander soup.
