Biomes and Vegetation Belts
In Geography this term we are learning about the world biomes.
Today we identified where each of the biomes are located on a world map.
Over the past two lessons the children have been conducting research using the iPads and fact files to gather information about 6 of the world biomes.
When created a flip book full of images and information about each of the biomes.
To finish our topic of Biomes and Vegetation belts, the children became Meteorologists.
They researched, planned and presented a forecast to the class, explaining all about the biome their city is located in, the climate and the expected weather in different months. They also used their maths skills to plot the average weather in each month on a line graph.
