Literacy
We shared the book 'Flotsam' by David Wiesner. We were amazed by all the wonderful things that we could see - a peculiar little crab, an octopus reading a story, mechanical fish and a strange looking camera. Then we searched in the sand to see what else we could find...
We love reading! We visit the library every Friday afternoon to listen to stories and poems. We choose a new book to take home and share with our families.
We went on a listening walk to identify environmental sounds.
Baby Bill is missing! We made lost posters to put up around school. We added our own descriptions of our little lost owl. 'Bill.... Where are you?'
The boys have begun to use writing in their play by creating signs for the road they had built together - 'This says stop!'
We have been practising how to write our names.
