Reception Baseline Assessment

The Reception Baseline Assessment is a short interactive, practical assessment of your child's early literacy, communication and language and maths skills when they begin school. It will be undertaken by a member of the Reception team and will measure your child's progress form Reception to Year 6.

The results will not be shared with school, the teachers or you as parents and the data will only be accessed by the Department of Education. When your child reaches Year 6, you will be able to see the progress your child has made throughout their school journey. If you wish to read me about the Statutory Baseline Assessment then you can find a useful parent booklet below.

As always, if you have any questions please send me an email or catch me at the gate after school and I will be happy to help.
