Their names are Willow, Duchess, Tiana and Quackers. They have settled in beautifully and are already becoming very curious, confident little explorers. The children are loving watching them grow, learning about how to care for animals, and observing the changes as the ducklings develop each day.
Willow loves to waddle around and investigate everything, Duchess carries herself like royalty, Tiana is always busy exploring, and Quackers is living up to the name with lots of happy little quacks!

The children learned how to create algorithms to control a robot, developing their computing skills and problem-solving along the way. ๐คโจ
It was especially exciting because this links perfectly with our learning in class. In English, we are reading Man on the Moon, and in History we are exploring the lives of great explorers. The children made fantastic connections between space exploration in the past and how coding can help us explore new worlds in the future!

On Wednesday 11 March from 9am, we would like to invite members of our school community to join our Eco Team in preparing our allotment area and Forest School for Spring and Summer. There will be plenty to do, including weeding, pruning and planting bulbs and seeds โ many hands make light work! If you are able to help let the school office know. Year 1 have been getting creative as part of the RED Curriculum, producing beautiful artworks to retell the story of Zacchaeus. Itโs been wonderful to see their imagination and understanding of the story come to life through their art! 6 Likes
