We have been learning about the composition of number 6. We have been learning to count out six from a group, learning that ladybirds have 6 legs and challenging ourselves to make 6 in different ways and even using plastic coins to purchase our snack!
We have started to think about the meaning of the words part and whole this week. We used tangerines to help us see that the whole is made up of different parts. They were very tasty!
This term we are focusing on days of the week and months of the year. Each morning we sing our days of the week song, work out what day it is and update our daily calendar. We are able to find the correct card by using our initial sounds.
