This term we have been learning about an artist called Aymar Ccopacatty who is inspired by recycling products to create weaves. We have looked at plastic items and used them to draw from whilst experimenting making different textures using different media. We then used his artwork as inspiration to create our own weaves out of plastic bags and learnt the importance of recycling materials. We evaluated each other’s work exploring positive features of each and we enjoyed looking at each other’s weaves.
