Desert to Garden
Lent is a time to care for others.
Jesus died on a cross. It is a sad time.
Jesus was given new life by God his Father.
Jesus rose and everyone celebrates.
Love God and love everyone.
We learnt that Ash Wednesday is the start of Lent. We made our Lenten promises.
We made our own Easter Garden from soil and pebbles that we collected from the allotment. We talked about how Jesus dies on Good Friday and rose again on Easter Sunday. Easter is a celebration that Jesus is still with us.
We are taking part in the Big Lent Walk to raise money for Cafod.
We have be looking at the symbol of the cross. We foraged sticks from the woodland to make our own crosses to use in our Easter Garden.
Easter celebrates new life. We explored new life and lifecycles when we hatched eggs and carefully cared for our chicks.
Planting cress and waiting patiently for it to grow.
Making hearts and cards to give to our Mothers on Mothering Sunday.
We made palm leaves and recreated the Palm Sunday celebration.
