Busy Fingers

 

The past few weeks we have been focusing on building our finger muscles ready for writing. We have taken part in lots of dough disco's and practised our number formation, now we are going to move on to letter formation. We teach letter formation in 'shape families'. The first family of letters we will focus on is 'Curly Caterpillar Letters'.

Have a go at writing you letters and try to do this as often as you can throughout the week. You can make this fun by using different writing materials. You could use felt tips, paint, a baking tray of salt/rice or even use a silky scarf in the air.
