Personal, Social and Emotional Development

Personal, social and emotional development (PSED) supports children to learn to get on with others and make friends, understand and talk about feelings, learn about 'right' and 'wrong', develop independence and ultimately feel good about themselves.

This week, we talked about staying safe and happy outside. Before walking to church we asked;

Q What is the weather like today? Is it sunny? Rainy? Hot or cold?

Q What do we need to wear to keep warm?

 ‘We need hats and gloves and coats and scarves!’
‘You have to wear clothes and some gloves and some hats and some coats and some scarves.’

’Warm clothes. Coats, gloves, wellies fluffy socks.’

We talked about how to keep ourselves safe when crossing the road. We looked at a picture of a Lollipop person and talked about what the stop and go signs mean.
