The Year 6 children looked at different sources to work out how the Mayan Civilisation lived thousands of years ago. From studying the sources the children were able to work out that The Mayan’s were really good at studying the sky. This helped them make special calendars, like the Haab. The Maya invented a special way of writing using pictures called hieroglyphs. The Maya built huge temples and pyramids.
