Understanding the World
Understanding of the World is about how children get to know about other people, the place where they live and about all aspects of the environment.
Here we are exploring the effects of gravity, staying still and starting to move, speeding up and slowing down and changing direction with the vehicles and ramps in the sandpit.
The children were delighted to find that the bulbs they planted last term have started to grow. Now is the perfect time to talk to children about how plants grow from seeds and the conditions they need to flourish.
