Hello! 

I wanted to send out a parent mail to officially introduce myself as your child's new class teacher as Miss Clarkson has now started her maternity leave. Mrs Keane will continue to be the Year 2 teaching assistant and Mrs Jones will teach Year 2 on a Thursday. We are also joined by Miss Holland from Yarrow Teaching School Alliance who will be on placement with our class until June. 

Last week you were sent a parent mail about reading records replacing GoRead. Hopefully this will make it simpler for you to read regularly with your child and record it in the reading records. The official day for returning and changing reading books is Thursday however we will also have capacity to change reading books on a Monday if your child has finished reading them over the weekend. Please only send your child's reading books in on a Thursday or a Monday for us to check and change. 

As Miss Clarkson did, I will continue to set weekly spellings on EdShed and spelling tests will take place in class on a Friday. I will also be setting a literacy and maths activity each Friday on Seesaw as homework for your child to complete for the following Friday.
