In our history lesson, we practised our sketching skills and drew a plague doctor. We smudged our pencil to make the image look old.
During Art Week, we learnt how to sketch 2D and 3D lightning bolts. We used pencil, fine liner and marker pens to create different effects. Next, we sketched a lightning bolt flashing through a cloud. We used this image to create a printing block on a piece of polystyrene. We then used the block to print a piece of artwork, rotating our blocks through quarter turns.
We concluded our week's work on 'Flotsam' by painting wooden pieces with an underwater scene inspired by the images in the book.
