This week we are creating our own ‘first, then, now’ stories. We listened to the story on Mr Gumpys Outing and acted out the story using props.
’First there was one in the boat, the we added two more now we have three altogether’. We practised writing the number sentences on a whiteboard.
We then decided to make our own number 10 bus to make up our own ‘first, then, now’ stories.
First we had two, then we added three more ,now we have five’.
We are learning to ‘count on’ using number tracks. We played a game using a dice numbered 1-3 to see who could reach number 10 first. We even practised writing our number sentences!
