Opportunities
The children have been learning about the different opportunities they have to be good Christians during Lent. We have learnt about the events of Palm Sunday and Good Friday. We have used role play to act these out and develop our understanding of them. We have also thought about the promises and sacrifices we can make during Lent and how we can help others.
We finished our topic by making Easter cards celebrating Jesus’ resurrection
Community- Books
This topic year 2 have spent time exploring the importance of the difference books linked to the church.
The children started by exploring what different types of books they knew and considered what their own favourite book was.
