Gardening Club

Gardening Club will take place throughout the year in our school allotment.

 

*Summer Term*

This term Gardening Club is open to Year 1 children and will take place on Tuesday 3.15 - 4.15. 

We had a wonderful time during our first Gardening Club session. We harvested our own rhubarb, prepared the flower beds ready to plant lots of delicious vegetables and made use of the compost bin. We found snails and enjoyed holding them and watching how they move and discovered an ants nest. We noticed the tunnels they had dug, the larvae and how quickly they move! 

This week we planted potatoes, mint, curly kale, garlic and chard.
