Plants
As part of our plants topic we have been focusing on making observations. We started making observations about different seeds and bulbs, and we recorded these by making observational drawings and notes. We then went into our school environment to make observations about mature plants.
Carrying on with our topic of plants, the children have been discussing and looking what a plant needs to grow well and be healthy. We gathered some information and then decided on some criteria for an investigation. What if plants have no water, no light or are not kept at the right temperature? We planted cress seeds in groups and will take away one element from each group of plants over the week to see what happens! One plant will have no water, one plant will be kept in the cupboard and one plant will be kept in the fridge! Watch this space!
