Diversity
At St Bede’s Catholic Primary School, our Governors are committed to reflecting the rich diversity of the community we serve. We believe that a diverse Governing Board helps to foster an inclusive school environment and provides positive role models for our staff and pupils.
Our Governors recognise the value of bringing together people with different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. This diversity strengthens discussion, supports robust decision-making and helps ensure that the needs of our whole school community are understood and represented.
To support this commitment, the Governing Board collects information on its diversity, including age, gender and ethnicity. This information helps us to identify future recruitment priorities and training needs, ensuring a broad and balanced range of voices around the table.
In line with our legal responsibilities to protect personal data, we do not publish individual diversity information online, as this could lead to Governors being identified.
