Catholic Life
Love • Learn • Serve
At St Bede’s Catholic Primary School, our Catholic identity is at the heart of everything we do. Guided by our mission—Love, Learn, Serve—we aim to create a welcoming, caring, and inclusive community where every child can flourish spiritually, academically, and personally.
Living Our Mission Every Day
Our mission is more than words—it is lived every day. We encourage our children to love one another through kindness and respect, to learn with curiosity and enthusiasm, and to serve those in need, both in school and the wider community.
Faith in Action
Our Faith in Action Group helps pupils put Catholic values into practice. They lead initiatives such as fundraising for charities including Save the Children, NSPCC, and CAFOD, and organise events like the Big Lent Walk. These activities help children explore Catholic Social Teaching, including themes of solidarity, dignity of the human person, and caring for the vulnerable.
Stewardship and Care for Creation
At St Bede’s, we are committed to stewardship of God’s creation. Inspired by Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’, we teach our children to respect the environment, live sustainably, and take responsibility for the world around them. We are proud to have achieved the Live Simply Award, which recognises our commitment to living simply, sustainably, and in solidarity with those in need.

Worship and Prayer
Worship is a cornerstone of life at St Bede’s. We come together to attend Mass for feast days, celebrate special liturgical occasions, and share in prayer and reflection. Through these experiences, children develop a deep sense of spirituality, gratitude, and connection to the wider Catholic community.
Inclusion and Community
We are dedicated to creating an environment where everyone feels valued and included. Catholic Social Teaching inspires us to embrace justice, dignity, and compassion, ensuring that every member of our school community feels welcomed, supported, and empowered to make a difference.
At St Bede’s, Catholic life is more than a subject—it is the way we live, learn, care for others, and care for creation, making faith a vibrant and meaningful part of everyday school life
