When celebrating Black history week we looked at our own skin tones and noticed that our skin was all different shades and colours. We used our mixing skills to added white paint or black paint to a colour to make the right shade for our skin tone. Some children explored mixing some other colours together such a browns and pinks.
One very rainy afternoon we explored powder paints and puddles. We created some lovely new colours by mixing different colours together . We used our hands and even our feet to mix the colours together.
Children ventured outdoors to explore the autumn colours. We found lots of autumn leaves and noticed the different shades or green , red, orange and yellow.
Children demonstrated that they know colour names and are able to match colours to complete a picture.
