Physical Development

This term we have been focusing on becoming more independent. Most children are able to put on their coat independently and we are now changing for P.E with little support. We have been talking about why we need to exercise and completing our daily run as well as completing lots of handwashing and discussing how and why we need to keep ourselves clean.

This week the children have started ‘tots on tyres’ and are practising their balancing.

This week we have been exploring what is inside the pumpkins. The children used spoons and their hands to take out the seeds. They then used tools such as screwdrivers to make holes for the string so we could hang our bird feeders.

We have been learning how we can keep ourselves clean and dry when we play and we know that we can ask a friend to help us if we get stuck!

We have been making sure our babies are nice and clean and ensuring that we are choosing the right clothes to keep them warm as the weather changes
